“I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Computer Geeks and have felt it’s been really worthwhile.
Within the first three months I was exposed to dozens of technologies, meeting company directors, doing site visits and gained exposure to business grade networks. I would describe it as intense - but in a good way, I learnt an incredible amount during this time. Although I was always encouraged to tackle problems independently I never felt like I had been totally thrown in at the deep end. I always felt that training was a priority of the business; someone always found time to sit down and explain complex technical matters when it was needed or give guidance. For me the small business aspect was attractive to me, it means I got a proper understanding of how different parts of the business worked and fitted together. It also meant if I had a good suggestion or idea then I’d bring it up at our morning meeting and we would discuss it. I liked feeling like my contributions made a difference as opposed to being a ‘small cog in a big machine.’
First line support was for the most part very satisfying, I always felt good when I could help a customer out of a sticky situation, especially those that were genuinely business affecting.”
